I personally recommend the DIRECTV STREAM OSPREY boxes as they have a better remote control, faster response speeds, and they are more optimized for streaming Live TV. However, these DIRECTV STREAM boxes must be purchased in which you pay $5 for 24 months or you can personally buy it for $120.
Do you have a link for that, because I have been unable to find it. (Though that may be because I have a grandfathered account - in the past they haven't offered us the boxes at all...)

DirecTV Stream boxes are not leased. You have the option to buy the box for $120 or you can pay $5 for 24 months.

Dtv also sells refurbished Dtv Stream boxes for 49.99. They come with a 1 year warranty.
