Is there are required internet provider or is any acceptable?

Can you use any internet provider with DirectTV Stream?  Am I correct in guessing that it is driven by WiFi.  I currently have a fiber optics internet but the connection is constantly coming up unstable, and runs slow for my work.  So I'm looking at changing providers, but want to make sure that it won't impact my DirectTV Stream Service.

There is not a required specific ISP for DIRECTV STREAM. However, there IS a recommended internet upload and download speed. As far as WiFi coverage goes, you also have the option of connecting via Ethernet (hard wired connection).

What are your current upload and download speeds on your work computer? (speedtest.net)

Be sure you are in the same room as the TV that will have DIRECTV STREAM service while running the speed test. An unreliable connection can DEFINITELY cause glitches, delays, bad picture quality, buffering, audio issues, etc.

You can use wifi AND an ethernet cable with the Dtv Stream box.
