Keep audio on with TV off
I want to be able to send audio from my Direct TV stream box to a stereo receiver with the TV turned off. Have a digital audio cable from the stream box audio output to the receiver. HDMI cable to the tv. When I turn off the TV, or disconnect the HDMI cable, the audio to the receiver works for 20 seconds. Then it shuts off. Think there must be a setting to change?

"HDMI CEC" power control is causing that. You should be able to disable that in the box's Settings Menu.

Thank you very much for the response. Tried disabling the HDMI CEC but problem persists. Direct TV stream box audio output shuts down about 20 seconds after TV turned off despite separate cables to TV and stereo receiver. I'd like to stream Sirius music to a stereo receiver without having a distracting picture on the TV. Keep thinking must be a setting in the Direct streaming box, but have not found it. Thank you for your interest and assistance.
