On Gemini Air: Fast Forward and Reverse Intermittently Do Not Work

I have had a Gemini Air connected to my TV for several days. Today the "Fast Forward" and "Fast Reverse" stopped working properly. Pressing either on a recorded program causes the video to move only a few seconds then normal rate video resumes. Occasionally neither button does anything! The first time it happened I "reset" the Gemini Air and it worked properly for a short time but then resumed the above behavior.

Hi, @bobspenmail. We apologize that the "Fast Forward" and "Rewind" button on your remote stopped working properly. Refreshing the connection between your remote and Gemini Air device can fix many common problems. Here’s how:


First, unpair your remote from the device:

- Press and hold DASH (–) and APPS or Diamondbuttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.

- Restart your Gemini (DIRECTV) device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device. You can also unplug your device and then plug it back in.


When your Gemini (DIRECTV) device is back on, pair the remote again:

- Point the remote at your Gemini (DIRECTV) device.

- Press and hold FAST FORWARD and REWIND at the same time for 2-3 seconds. When they pair, you’ll get an onscreen message that your remote is ready to use.
