No, that’s not possible. Each provider must have a specific contract with the TV networks as well as rights. There is no cross-recording sort of business going on at all. Therefore, you wouldn’t be able to use your DIRECTV STREAM box to record Hulu content.
As a side note, you said DIRECTV HD DVR. Are you referring to DIRECTV satellite or DIRECTV STREAM?

Thank you. I eas referring to DirecTV Stream. Guess we're a little spoiled as we were able to do so when we had Xfinity. Would it be possibe on the devices (3) that have FireTV cubes? Thanks

Nope, it’s not possible on Fire TV cubes either. I’m surprised it worked with Xfinity. How exactly did you do it? Was it through the Hulu app which allowed you to do it or did the physical DVR server/hard drive of your Xfinity box record it?

As far as I recall I think it wss tbrough yje Xfinity DVR. But, it was awhile ago & cannot be sure.
