Remote will not operate Direct box or tv

There are two blinking blue lights on the remote right above the On switch and the Off switch.  I out in new batteries, but the remote will not turn in the tv or the Direct TV box, so I can’t sync the remote through the tv. What do I do?

Try holding the fast forward and the rewind buttons at the same time while pointing the remote at your TV and Directv Streaming box.  That should sync your remote to your Directv box.  Hopefully that helps you.

When I hold down the fast forward and rewind buttons at the same time, the blue lights start to blink faster, but the remote does not sync.

Ok, let's try doing these steps

  1. Press and hold the DASH (–) and APPS buttons until you see the LED lights on the remote blink blue twice.  (This unpairs your remote from the box)
  2. Restart your DIRECTV STREAM device by pressing and releasing the red button on the side of the device.
  3. Once the box restarts press and hold the Fast Forward and Rewind to repair your remote to your box.

Hopefully, this will get you back to being able to use your remote again.
