siri 4k remote fast forward not working correctly

With my new apple tv with the new Siri remote, on apple tv, netflix, amazon prime, the fast forward method works great.  You pause the show, put your thumb next to the wheel on the remote, and an wheel icon appears.  You can then scrub around the wheel on the remote for precise forward and back, the scenes also appear above the timeline.

On ther directv stream app--the wheel icon does not appear.  You can pause and swipe to go back or forward but it is very clunky.  Apparently Directv stream needs to update the driver--apple has supplied the specs for update, as I said, Netflix and Prime have the right driver.

So when are the Directv stream developers going to update the driver?  This would make me highly recommend the directv stream app.

This original post is a year old. I didn’t author it post but did have the APTV FF problem. Left DTV stream because of it, ALL the other streaming services work fine. Some work differently, ALL are functional. I came back to DTV recently assuming “ DTV must have fixed it by now, NO THEY HAVEN’T” Does anyone at Direct TV stream use Apple TV? This isn’t rocket science, every other provider’s software works great. Do you NOT WANT Apple TV customers? Please let us know, so we can stop wasting our time.

Your talking to a bunch of customers here, most of which don’t have a issues with their Apple TV. It would be best if you made a new post. Include the Apple TV model, if this issue occurs on other streaming devices/phones/tablets, if you’ve tried reinstalling the app and updating the Apple TV firmware, etc.
