Slow loading through the operating system of my TCl's.
Is it normal for my directTv stream service to load up slow? It also takes a long time to switch from channel to channel and load up the guide once the app is running on my tv. I have TCL's throughout the house and they all load up slowly. Works a little faster when using the app through my cellphone. I have gig-speed internet and get about 750 MB per second when tested in case you were wondering. I don't personally know anyone who uses DirecTV stream so I can't compare or contrast with them. I recently switched from youtubetv and it worked fast but i didn't like the picture quality. Thanks to anyone that can help.

No, it’s definitely not normal for the service to be that slow. I assume that your TCL TVs may be a little ‘underpowered’ for DIRECTV STREAM. You may need to buy an Amazon fire stick, Roku, or Apple TV to improve the performance. Additionally, you can think about the actual DIRECTV STREAM Osprey Box which has a handy remote and an overall faster experience than any other streaming device.

Same with mine. It's a lot slower than it used to be. Very frustrating, especially when you pay for 1,000mb wifi. The above trouble shooting link offered no help.

I had to wait months to get ABC back, and now I have to wait several seconds for every channel to load over my fiber optic cable-fed AP. Switching from Xfinity was a mistake. Pathetic. What year is this again? I’ve had instantaneous channel switching since the 70s until I got this under-supported sorry excuse for TV service. Frequent restarts needed, snail’s pace channel switching, no NFL Red Zone available. Look elsewhere for actual satisfaction. I’ll bet this post gets muted by these incompetent crooks.

I have been experiencing numerous issues with the loading of my DirecTV stream over the past few months. The problem has only worsened recently. Whenever I turn on the TV using my fire stick, it takes several minutes before the remote becomes responsive enough to press any guide buttons. It feels as if the system is frozen or delayed in loading.
I have attempted various solutions such as resetting the WiFi, removing and reinserting the fire stick to reload it, unplugging devices, and clearing data and cache. However, despite my efforts, I have been unable to resolve the issue.
I am seeking advice or answers from anyone who may have experienced a similar problem or has suggestions on what else I can try.

The Directv app in Google TV is painstakingly slow. Have to wait several seconds after each button press for a response. I have a new TCL QM8 with the latest updates.
