You can pair your DIRECTV STREAM remote with your sound bar by following the next steps:
1. Open DIRECTV STREAM on your TV device.
2. Choose Settings and then System.
3. Select Remote & Devices, then Program Your Remote.
4. Choose the TV manufacturer or sound bar you want to add.
5. Follow the prompts to finish up.

Right now sound bar is connected to TV with Audio cable. Does Sound bar need to be connected to your DVR with Audio cable or will it pair like it is?

@dlmarris, in other to avoid inconveniences with the sound bar audio. It would be better to connect it to the DIRECTV STREAM Device.
