When I go into system summary serial number comes up next accounts, how do I change this to my email

I bought a at&t direct streaming box on E-bay. Is it possible to change account info for that box so I can use with my plan. That box is set for entertainment plan and I'm using Choice. Thanks

The box is registered to the original owner and tied to that account. You need to have that owner unregisters it from their account before you will be able to use the box. Until then, it will be just a brick.

I would send the box back if you can because if they still owe money on that box it will be useless as Directv Stream will not allow it to be used and then you are out your money!  You could always get a certified refurbished one from Directv themselves for $49.99 and you get a 1-year warranty!

I hooked it up and it works, but it only lets me view on the entertainment package and I'm using the Choice package. I'm wondering if I take it into a store if it can be reprogrammed. I didn't realize they sold refurbished boxes. Thanks for the info.

Are you using your login credentials or the original owners?

You're welcome!  But FYI the box that you have is still turned on under another person's account presumably the person's account that you brought the box from that is why it is on the choice package and not the entertainment package you were not able to sign in to your account on the box.

Did you try signing out under settings?

Settings--account---sign out. Then you can sign in using your login credentials.
