DirecTV online program guide
I can't access my DirecTV program guide online. When I get to the DirecTV satellite website page it says I need to subscribe to DirecTV Stream to use it. I was told by DirecTV satellite support that that's the way it is now, which makes no sense to me. Why would I want to use the program guide to set my DVR to record a program when I have the streaming service? I used to be able to do it, but not now. Problem is only online, DTV app works OK.

The guide still works fine for me as far as DIRECTV satellite: https://www.directv.com/guide
To confirm, do you have DIRECTV satellite or DIRECTV STREAM?
One sentence you state that you talked to the satellite department and another you stated that you have the streaming service.

Taking that link you gave takes me to the program guide briefly, then I get the following message:

litzdog911 Yes I have a DirecTV Satellite account. Sometimes I can log in, sometimes not. I really think the problem is caused by the DirecTV Stream account that I cancelled 2 years ago is still shown on my account overview. I have tried several times to get it removed but it's still there.

I also have the DirectV Satellite service and when I have this service before, I was able to go to www.directv.com on my computer, log in to the DirectV account and click GUIDE and then WATCH ONLINE and select a TV show and it comes on.
I started the same service again, and now I go to the website, logon, click GUIDE and then WATCH ONLINE, and select a TV show, and as it is loading, anywhere from 15% loaded to 50% loaded, I get the error message to "restart the video player". I can't seem to find anyone at DirectV who can tell me where the video player is on my computer and how to re-install it (or uninstall it and install it again).
If anyone on the forum can help, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you.

We can follow some troubleshooting steps for streaming issues.
First of all, sign out of the DIRECTV website and restart your computer. After that, sign into the website and try again.
If you're still having the same error, please, clear your cache and cookies. Also, try a different internet connection (WIFI or Wired).
As the last option, please try a different browser or device.

Thank you for responding, DirecTVhelp. I have tried restarting the computer, signing in and out of the website. I have cleared cache, cookies, history. I only have Wi-Fi as an option for internet service. I have also tried going to www.directv.com on Edge, Firefox, and Google Chrome and get the same message each time at the same points. I have installed the DirectV app on my iPhone and I am able to watch TV shows without a problem, but the screen is too small, so I have never done that before and have been able to use my laptop instead. This is the first time this problem has occurred on the laptop.
Where is the video player and can I uninstall it so when I log onto DirectV.com on the laptop, it will prompt me to install the video player and maybe I can get this to work?
