It won't be an error message or up-front notice on the receiver, just something that you can see in the "Messages" category. If payment hasn't been received in awhile, I do believe that the DIRECTV package will be downgraded to a very skinny and limited bundle with access to just local channels and some other cheap and boring ones.

Still? I’ve had Directv over 20 years. I don’t recall ever seeing anything like that on the tv.

@sandblaster it comes through the ‘Messages’ section, at least for my HR24-100 at one point. I have no Genies or Genie minis so..

@detuch254 Yeah, I always check those. I just don’t recall ever seeing one about paying the bill other than something generic, not account specific.
