Verifying of number calling to offer promotion is actually an AT&T number or a spoof
Are these AT&T numbers? I only have ATT internet but not Direct TV. If these are not legitimate numbers for AT&T they need to be reported to the authorities.

was asked to call 833 381 3123 because my account qualifies for 50% off Direct TV call from 855 416 2542

Scam!! DIRECTV phone number is 1(800)531-5000. Block the numbers and don't fall for any large discounts or the payment of gift cards, they are clear ways for scammers to get quick money.

Scammers change the numbers as often as they breath so there is no way to stop them and since most of these scammers are not in the US there is nothing US companies can do to arrest them.
