Can't get Genie to stop switching receiver audio from TV app

Finally got Samsung ARC audio to Denon receiver working......as long as Directv receiver HDMI is not plugged into receiver.

HDMI control/CEC is off on the receiver. However once it is connected to the receiver, it takes over the audio and does not allow TV app audio to play.

Is there any other setting that can make the genie just wait to be switched manually?

Hello @bjbbjb! Thanks for reaching out to us with your sound concerns with your Genie. 

 

Please let us know have you tried resetting your Genie? Of not lets try these steps:

 

Find the red reset button on your receiver and press it once. (It’s usually on the side of your receiver but may be behind an access card door.)

Wait for your receiver to restart and begin playing video again.

 

Also, you may want to try switching Dolby Audio to "Off" and then switching it back on.
