Copy RC73 settings to another RC73

I had 3 RC73 Remotes programmed to a Samsung TV and a SONY AV System (Sony STR-DH590) for sound.

We thought we had lost one of the remotes, and decided to program another RC73 as a spare.

I called Direct TV and the gal INSISTED we re-program the RC73 that was working properly.  I argued with her that I did not want to lose the settings on the Remote that worked.

After an hour of programming, the working remote would not work properly.

At this point, she disconnected me.

I called back and got another agent, he didn't know how to program the remote to operate the SONY  AV System

Any advice on how to copy the settings from one of the currently correctly working remote to one that does not allow the SONY AV to control the sound would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, your feedback is appreciated regarding the SONY AV System (STR-DH590), we'll be working with our parties to get these settings updated. In the meantime, here is a general set-up guide to program your SONY AV audio device with the RC73 remote control:

1. Make sure the Genie Remote has RF enabled.
2. On the remote, select Menu > Settings > Remote Control > Pair/Program Remote > Program Audio Device.
-Enter the customer's audio device brand and mode.
-If the screen shows Code Transmission Failed, select Try Again.
3. An OSD displays prompting to confirm the code works by pressing VOL+. Vol + - Screenshot.
4. Once the Audio Device is successfully programmed and selects "It Worked", Volume Lock can be used to ensure that the volume key on the remote operates the audio device instead of the TV.
-After the remote is successfully programmed to the audio device, select Change Volume Lock>Use Audio Device>OK.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
