Direct TV App and Recordings
If I record something on Direct TV in my house (actual satellite) and want to watch it out of town on Direct TV app- can I do that? I think I tried to do it and my recordings didn't show up. It said to "refresh recordings". I was afraid if I did that- it would wipe out the actual recordings on my tv at home. Any thoughts?

No, you cannot view DirecTV satellite DVR recordings outside of your home. But you posted this in the DirecTV Stream Forum. Are you a DirecTV Satellite or DirecTV Stream customer?
Depending on the show, you might be able to use the network's app to view it on a smart device.

I have Direct TV satellite dish in my house. But last week when my Direct TV receiver was down, I used the Direct TV app on my Roku and got to watch it (in my house). So I was wondering if I could use that app when out of town to watch Direct TV and recordings. Thanks for your response.

Got it. Unfortunately, the DirecTV App doesn't support viewing DVR recordings outside your home network.
