Error Code 771
A couple of weeks I posted that I was receiving an Error Code 771 on some channels and that I could only watch these channels in low definition. Weather was not an issue. I checked connections and all seems fine. Before trying to adjust the dish to try to get a better signal I ran a System info and test on my HR24/500 receiver. The test found errors on both tuners. It looks like it failed on Satellite 99 Even (18V) and Satellite 103 Even (18V). Other than that, the signals are very strong (90's). Does this mean my dish is misaligned? Hard to imagine a misalignment since the post it's attached to is set in concrete and nothing has hit it. But I guess anything is possible. I hope this additional bit of information is helpful. Thanks to those who replied to my previous post.

this is most likely a coax issue where the coax is not efficient enough to pass the 18V signal and only can do the 13V. Or the LNB is defective and going through a slow death. However, it is most likely a coax cable and DTV needs to come out to replace since you stated that this issue has happened for several weeks. I would expect the LNB to completely fail in that time frame, so I'll call for a coax wiring investigation.
