Error code 771
My system is showing code 771. I think the man mowing my lawn must have knocked the dish off the correct bearing. It was working fine when I left home for about an hour. Yard man says he did think he hit it. When I returned it was not working correctly and show this code.
The current situation is: No HD signal at all, most Low Def signal range from 40 to 76, no sound on the main Genii box and the set in another room working when I choose to use Low Def, sound OK on that mini.

you need to call directv and get a tech out to look at it. The dish may actually be damaged.

Thank you. I have inspected the dish and do not see any sign of damage. Hoping to get one of the reps on this forum to set up service call. I never have had much luck with tech support on phone. Seems the best help is here.

@Starsmith you will need to call DIRECTV to schedule a service visit. The 771 error code is usually due to dish misalignment, bad LNB, bad reflector, or a mast that was pulled out of level.
However, if you are tech savvy, you can aim the dish yourself with some helpful YouTube videos. Just use the receiver's built-in signal meter via "View Signal Strength." Maximize the signal on 101, 99 (ca), 99 (cb), 103 (ca), and 103 (cb).
