Freezing screen and code 775

We have had direct tv for 10 years and have had no issues. That is up until the other day. Now all of our tvs will freez up and sometimes display a 775 message then come back on. Sometimes ever 3 minutes others ever 10 minutes. I called in to request a new box since all tvs are effected at the same time and we were told we had to have a 99 dollar service call or a upgrade to our service at 8.99 a month. Really, we pay a hefty fee every month to use a service that is no longer trouble free. We need a solution and not a sales pitch. I am fully frustrated. This seems to be an ongoing issue and I surely shouldn’t have to pay to fix an issue that is causing me to not be able to enjoy a service I already pay for. We either need a resolution or a shipping container to return our equipment. We by the way have to trouble with streaming. Only direct tv.

A "new box" won't solve an Error 775 issue. That points to a problem with the dish's power supply or coax cable/connectors.

What DVR/Receiver models do you have?

Check that the coax cables are snug at your boxes and at the dish. If you have a separate dish "SWM Power Inserter", check that, too.

You own everything but the receivers, that is why DTV charges $99 for service calls or you can pay $8.99 per month for the protection plan.
