Lose recordings when change boxes
Why do we lose all favorite channels, dvr recordings, and series list to record when on, when you change the box? Is there a way to save everything on our account? I have been with DirectTV for so long that the 2nd box is starting to act up and we dont want to lose everything.

Because DTV has no way to transfer anything.

WeaKnees.com can transfer the content of one hard drive to another, but the DVR MUST be the same. meaning same receiver ID and access card as the old hard drive was registered to. so in your case NO, two different receivers WILL NOT work.

These things are encrypted to the DVR they were recorded on.
