Hi @PaulHWaszink , we'd like to help you with your technical inquiry.
When it comes down to dish mounting options, specific solutions are used depending on the circumstances, space available, line of sight with satellite and such. The technician will discuss with you directly the solution for mounting and relocating when being on-site with you.
For this reason, it would be necessary to make a technician appointment in order to review the best option, with an approved Directv dish mount and provide any other additional details regarding the relocation.

Thanks. So, DirecTV would do "the whole job"....
Following up, an alternative:
What if I install the post and have the technician relocate the dish onto the new post?

There’s a specific diameter pole needed that difficult or impossible to find at your local hardware store. Best to call directv to get details

You own the dish to remove, DTV will not remove it, DTV will charge $75 for a customer requested pole mount. You need a 2" OD fence post.
