Old app/New app
I am under the impression that the old app is going away soon. I can only figure that is why I can't download it to my tablet. Will the new app have the capability to download recordings from the dvr, so I can watch when unable to use wi-fi (like on a plane)?

It should. But, there are bugs right now in the new app preventing you from doing so. Only time will tell when DIRECTV releases a version for the app to fix the ‘bugs’

They really should keep the old app until the bugs are out of the new app.

True, but I’m sure they are working towards sunsetting the old app and moving toward a newer more ‘innovative’ one. Although, right now, it is proving to be very NOT innovative as far as DIRECTV satellite goes.

I just wish that I could use the old app on my tablet to download. I had to remove it & re-add. I can log in, but can't start my dvr search. I guess I will just have to be patient & use other options (if I can find any).
