Pairing My Directv Remote to Hisense TV
I have a Hisense Model 55u6k tv that doesnt want to pair correctly with my Directv RC71 Remote. None of the codes seem to work correctly when I pair automacically.What do I Do?

Hi @tyler3769, we realize having your remote working properly is a must. Follow these steps to set up your Genie remote to the Hisense TV:
1. Point the remote at your Genie HD DVR, Genie Mini, or Wireless Genie Mini.
2. Press and hold the MUTE and ENTER buttons. Stop when the green light at the top of the remote blinks twice.
3. When the TV screen displays Applying IR/RF setup, you are in RF mode and ready to program the remote.
4. Power on the device you want your remote to control.
5. Press MENU on your remote.
6. Select Settings > Remote Control > Program Remote.
7. Select the device you wish to control with the remote.
8. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete programming.

What is the DIRECTV receiver model? The RC71 may not have the newest Hicense programming attached to it so you may need the newest RC73 remote so that the Hicense pairs properly with the TV.

well, we were told its the most updated receiver available in our area...?
So, i guess i'll try the rc73 remote and hope that works better.

I would assume DIRECTV was referring to the Gemini model C71KW, which uses a newer remote known as the RC82V. Check the model number and let me know.

I have a RC73 remote and a Hisense Fire tv Model 50QD65QFC...the function of pair from the settings menu isn't available...Ive tried soo many number codes and nothing has worked...The function of the remote where you use 991 and then channel up doesn't work either (it gives me a red light when I hit 1)

- Enter Hisense as the TV brand.
- If the screen shows Code Transmission Failed, select Try Again and manually test these individual codes one at a time: 13382, 12183, 12098, 11314, 12419, 12355, or 10748.
- If the code doesn't work, select Try Next Code.
