Powered HDMI Splitter

I have attempted to use a Powered HDCP 2.2 Compliant HDMI 1x2 splitter out of my HD mini box. The two outputs from the splitter go to 2 different TVs. Initially the picture is fine but as soon as I attempt to change a channel or fast forward/reverse, I lose the picture. The only way to get it back is by unplugging the splitter and plugging back in. same thing happens again if I try and change the channel. has DirecTV put something proprietary on the boxes that make it impossible to send the same output to two different screens?

Sadly, HDMI splitters are a mixed lot. The HDCP copy protection signal can often get messed up with many splitters. The only recommendation I can offer is to try a different powered splitter. Be sure to check its reviews regarding properly passing HDCP copy protection signals.
