Problem with hdmi splitter

A storm hit and took out an hdmi to ethernet box which also had a splitter in it (OREI hdmi over Cat5/6/7).
We used it to loop the signal to our main lv room tv and then to the bedroom over cat 5. (worked great until the storm)

I've replaced it but now the hdmi signal will no longer pass through the hdmi to ethernet box to the tv.
I purchased a Rocketfish hdmi splitter (RF-G1603) to split the signal to the main tv and then the hdmi over cat 5 box.
This works, however at random intervals (some hours long, some <10 minutes) the screen will go blank.
The bedroom screen will do this and it will show a box with 'Display 1280x720 60p'
The RF0g1603 is supposed to be HDCP 2.2 compliant.  I am also using rocketfish hdmi cables.
Any suggestions would be appreciated as this is quite frustrating.

This is a DirecTV forum, so doubt you'll find folks here with experience with that HDMI splitter. Have you reached out to RocketFish?

Yes I did. No response yet.
I was hoping to hear other Directv users experiences with splitters and if they had any problems such as I've described.
