Programming the Gemini Remote?

Is it actually possible to enter vendor specific codes for the remote?

I have a Sharp LC-60LE450U. The Gemini "finds" a code, but it doesn't fully work. Examples, can't turn the TV on or off. Using the
volume button causes the volume indicator to show on the screen but doesn't actually manipulate the sound level.

Let's try to factory reset your remote control to see if that resolves the issues.

Press and hold the Home and Exit keys simultaneously until the LEDs on both sides display red.
Press 981 on the remote control.
The LEDs will turn Off and then blink blue 3 times on both sides.

Factory reset, results in the same situation .. the remote fully controls the Gemini box, but only controls the sound on the TV.

Can't control the TV power or the TV menus ( we switch to OTA to watch CW shows, since the CW isn't part of our local stations )

We would really like to be able to control the TV input and power.
