RC73 remote pairs with new Hisense QD65 TV but turns it on to the Hisense Home Screen
I paired my RC73 remote with my new Hisense QD63 TV but when I use it to turn the TV on it opens it to the Hisense Home Screen. The volume button works but I can’t do anything else to use DirecTV, I have to use the Hisense remote to back out of the home screen and find the HDMI setting to switch over to DirecTV.
We have had DirecTV for over 25 years and many different televisions with no problems, it always opens up to the channel we were watching when we last turned it off.
How can I fix this issue? And I don’t know what category this belongs in so I apologize if I chose the wrong one.

Welcome to the community, @smigon! Don't worry about the category, you're in the right place. Since your remote is already paired and controlling the volume, the issue is just a default setting on your new Hisense TV. Grab your Hisense remote, head into the TV's "Settings", look under "System" or "Power", and change the "Power On Behavior" to "Last Input" instead of "Home Screen." This will force the TV to wake up straight to DIRECTV every time. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team
