RC73 remote will not turn Vizio TV on/off
Hello, I had to get a new RC73 remote due to my dog destroying my previous one. My old RC73 would turn my Vizio VX37LHDTV10a on/off. The new remote will control volume & channel, but will not turn the TV on/off. I have read through other posts about this same problem, but nothing has worked.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hit menu on the remote then go to setting on the left the look for remote control in settings. See if you can pair your remote to your TV.

Hello, I have paired the TV & remote. It will control volume and channel, but will not turn the TV on or off.

Do you have a power button and an on and off button on the Direct TV remote or no.
I use the RC66RX remote
Have your tried more than one code for your TV ?

There is an on button and an off button, on the RC73 but there is no power button. I have tried numerous codes and none have worked.
This situation is odd as my previous RC73 remote worked fine to control the TV.
I'll check out the RC66RX remote, if no one can help me with the RC73. Thanks.

Do you have protection plan on your account? If yes then DTV will send you a new remote free of charge.
