Receiver Won’t Turn On? Here’s Your Power‑Up Playbook

Hey everyone! If your DIRECTV receiver is acting like it needs its morning coffee and refusing to turn on, here are the go‑to checks to get things humming again:
1. Power Supply Check
 • Make sure your TV is actually on
 • Hit the Power button on your receiver’s front panel
 • Unplug → re‑plug the power cord into both the receiver and wall outlet (nice firm click!)
 • If that outlet is tied to a wall switch, flip it on
 • Using a power strip? Confirm it’s powered up too
2. Test the Outlet
Plug in something else (like a lamp).
 • Lamp works = receiver issue
 • Lamp doesn’t work = reset the outlet (breaker or outlet reset button) Then plug the receiver into a working outlet and test again
