Replace access card

I received a new access card in the mail so I can replace the older card.  By replaced the card will we lose all of the saved shows we have on our dvr?  We have about 20 hours of shows waiting to be watched and don't want to lose them or the settings.

No, you should not lose anything.

Several people have reported getting new access cards, don't know why.

What receiver do you have?

Thanks for your answer.  Not sure what our box is, it's about 1 - 2 years old.

Don't understand it then. There's no reason why you would need new access cards as far as I know.

On my bill it says HD but I see on the sheet that the new card is attached to it says "replaces card: SD receiver with on screen display".

To be honest if I were you I would not use the card. Directv obviously thinks you have an SD receiver. Did you have SD and was it replaced with an HD receiver or DVR?
