Rewind and Fast Forward not working - freeze screen or jumps to beginning or end of recording

I understand, but many programs and channels are going to be irrelevant if there are no longer viewers. 

A banner told me fast forward was not allowed??

What's that about? A recording should ALWAYS have that feature!

You record it, you do what you like with it!

Most channels don't allow you to FF their On Demand programs.

Same here, can't rewind or FF on either TV set.  Had to reboot last week because captioning was missing every-other sentence.  That was fixed with reboot, now this problem.

NOT an ON DEMAND program..it is last night's Nightline.
