Sonos Beam Gen 2 Compatibility
I picked up a Sonos Beam Gen 2 today but could not get any sound from the soundbar when watching DIRECTV. It works fine however if I’m using the Amazon fire stick so I know that the connections are correct.
Because the TV is older and I don’t have an HDMI arc the connection is made through the optical input.
Sonos did some troubleshooting and verified that the connections are all correct.
I have spoken to tech-support from Sonos, Sharp (TV), and DirecTV and they have all tried different ways of troubleshooting the issue without any luck.
I’m ready to give up and return the sound bar so any help would be much appreciated.

Can anyone positively confirm that the HR44 is the problem and, if so, will an upgraded Genie solve the problem with the soundbar?
