Unpairing a remote?
How do I 'unpair' a remote from my audio receiver?
I tried unpairing the remote altogether then repairing it, but control of the audio receiver comes right back.
It is nice at times to control everything from one remote, But Not at 6am! When all that you want to do is quietly watch the news.

Hi, @ZAK1. The DIRECTV remote is set up to control the audio receiver's volume and power by default. If you have a Gemini remote, here's how to stop it from controlling your audio receiver:

The issue is Not about operating volume control but choosing which device gets turned on or off.
I did un-pair and re-pair but the remote automatically chooses TV and Audio Receiver.
I need to remove audio receiver.

To remove programming for your speaker system, navigate to Settings (gear icon) > System > Remote & Devices > Program Your Remote, and then switch the 'Remote Programming' option to OFF.

I'm having the same problem. Even after disconnecting and trying to fix it, my remote still takes over the audio receiver. It's great to have one remote for everything, but at 6am when you just want to watch the news in peace, it's really annoying. I wish there was a way to completely disable it from connecting.
