Why is my tv screen pink and green?

My receiver reset and now the tv picture is pink and green. The D-tv logo is green. Netflix picture is fine. Over-the-air channels are fine. It is only D-tv channels. All other household TVs/receivers are fine. It is NOT a problem with the HDMI cable. That port on the receiver hasn’t worked in 2 years. My connection is made with monster cables. What is wrong? Can I get a new FREE receiver so that this problem and the HDMI problem will both be resolved?

This is nearly always a problem with the component (not composite) connection from the directv receiver to the TV. I assume you are using the RGB connection. Could be the cable (are you sure you have the red/green/blue connectors the correct way round?) , the tv or the directv box.

You have to call DTV for a replacement receiver.

Thank you !!! You are correct. It turns out that when I moved the receiver a couple of the monster RGB cables were loosened. I feel silly now. I got a new tv stand and had to move all of the equipment (tv, sat receiver, sound bar and Blu-ray player. I was pretty proud of myself for getting it all hooked back up correctly except for this one problem (so I wanted to blame it on someone else). Thanks again.

You are welcome. It's a very common mistake!
