Why was my Installation Appointment has put on hold?

I had ordered new service and installation for direct tv satellite service , my install appointment was today, nobody showed up to install, and then I check my account overview and found out

Appointment on hold

Sorry, none of us here can tell you why as we are all customers here.  But my best bet would be as they have so few installers they tend to get backed up and behind delaying installation/repairs orders.  If you want to know why it is delayed you will need to contact customer service.   But if you want it fast your best bet would be if you can stream would be to get Directv Streaming.  Good luck!
