I have a standard 18" dish with a 95 reading on signal strength.I occasionally get rain fade dropout-sometimes for several minutes at a stretch. My question is would switching to a 30" dish completely eliminate rain fade if properly aligned.

My Samsung TV worked fine when I turned it off last night. This morning it comes on to a black screen with QLED letters, goes on to the TV channel and within seconds fades away to a black screen for several seconds and then repeats this pattern continually. Every so often I briefly see an HDMI Erro

DVR indicates it is recording my shows. but when I go to watch them all that is there is a black screen. This has happened on several networks in the last week. Also, I can watch a DVR recording and it plays fine. But when I go to watch it again all it shows is a black screen.

Local hd programing goes with just light rain, long before national hd and standard programing goes. Techs have checked equipment and dish alignment and signal strength and found no problems. Any suggestions?
