Can i DIRECTV Stream from home and another location?

Hi, My child recently moved away from college, we currently have Hulu Live and found that she cannot access live or recorded shows in her dorm (she is about 1 hour away from us).  Does Directv Stream have the ability to log in both at home and in her dorm through her Roku device and access Live and recorded shows in both locations?

The ISP is the same company who is providing the DirectTV service. So I agree that this is their issue to resolve but all I get is nonsense excuses from their customer service.  But the problem still remains that there is no way for me to see what devices are signed in on my account. This is a simple function that should be provided to every customer's account.

I have Directv stream at home.  I gave my mom access at her house and my daughter is using at college.  Both keep getting the message too many streams.  They are only using a one Roku device.  After they told me of the error it popped up on my tv at home.  Any ideas as to why we are all getting the message?

The following is hilarious if not pathetic. I see posts going back over 2 years where Direct TV users are getting prompts on their home computers to re-install Synamedia VideoGuard Player countless times without the ability to stream their promised Direct TV service. Multiple phone calls later,over several months, and countless hours calling customer support at Direct TV/AT&T while being promised that someone will follow-up. The issue is still ongoing and I am still waiting for that promised email and call to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue currently?  Maybe it's time to make some changes!

@clduran2 That must be a DirecTV satellite issue - DirecTV Stream, which is the topic of this forum, doesn't use a "player" on computers - just a web browser.  You should post on a DirecTV satellite forum (go back up to the forum root and you will see DTV Satellite as a choice).

Yes. You don’t pay for DVR, Whole-Home, or RSN fees just to name a few. Additionally, you won’t pay an additional TV ‘access fee’ for each additional streaming device you have in your home. So, absolutely, yes.

However, check the channel lineup of DIRECTV STREAM. Some channels like NFL are not available on DIRECTV STREAM, while they are on satellite.

@bcbsncjlj

IMO the extra costs of satellite add up quick so stream does end up being a lot cheaper

@Brownromae70

Download the DirecTV App from your iPhone's App Store.

I explained to Salesman at Bee Caves TX store that I had several vacation rentals, and he told me I could get DirectTV Stream at 3 locations.  He failed to mention only 2 tv's outside the home.  He also failed to mention the $140 box.  I feel like I got ripped off!  When I see the ATT March Madness I know it is not all about basketball.

The “$140 box” is actually $120, and it isn’t a requirement - a $30 Roku or FireStick would work fine (albeit without channel numbers).  For a variety of reasons (not just the “out of home” restrictions) a single subscription to the service likely wouldn’t work well for your application.

But you’re not locked in - you can cancel at any time.  If you are within 14 days of subscribing (12 or 13 to be safe) and cancel, you’ll even get your money back. And if you actually bought any of the DirecTV Streaming devices and return them within the same window (carefully follow the directions for returning them) you’ll get a refund for those too.
