DirecTV Stream blasting loud ad on pause

Folks,

Recently switched to Stream after being on satellite since 1998. 

So I have this really annoying behavior. When I pause, after some time an advertisement comes up. No big deal, but the issue is that the ad is about 25 decibels louder than the program I was watching. I tested this the other day. The program I was watching was 47 decibels. The paused ad was 75 decibels. I have a/v receivers on all of my TVs with subwoofers and speakers. So it is LOUD. 

The ad doesn't always play. Sometimes I pause and it stays paused. When the ad does come up, it doesn't come up right away. It comes up after a little while. Long enough that I've typically left the room, but the ad blasts so loud that even in another room it is annoying. 

If this matters, I am using AppleTV 4K (I have quite a few all gens)
