Directv Stream discounts with AT&T Unlimited Wireless service

Did Directv Stream stop the monthly discounts for AT&T Unlimited Wireless customers?   I stopped receiving my monthly discount which I had been getting for years (all the way back to when it was called Directv Now, then AT&T TV, and then AT&T TV Now).  My discount stopped in November 2021 and I had made no changes to my wireless service.

Hi @wdfowl78 We are glad to help you with information about the discounts with this service.

We know how important is to get all the details about the discounts in your account. Let's meet in a Direct Message to take a closer look on this. Please check you DIRECTV Message inbox (it's the chat icon next to the bell icon in the upper right corner of the Forums)

Was this question answered?  I'm a current AT&T Unlimited Wireless customer and thinking about subscribing to DirectTV Stream, and am interested in a bundling discount.

ok, so I looked through the link that was sent out... ummm, didn't find anything about a discount when combining ATT Unlimited Mobile service with any of the DirecTV Stream packages

does ATT have a retention or marketing department I can talk to?  I'll verify one more time, but this basically doesn't help me subscribe to another service (I'll take YouTube TV instead and save money)

I believe if you bundle DIRECTV STREAM and AT&T Wireless then there is a $10 credit on the account. Though, this could have changed in the last few months. Please call DIRECTV (number in my greeting below) as well as AT&T to verify that both agents say the same.

Found out today that DirecTV Stream does not have a chat feature within their customer service, so I'll have to make a phone call.  No time to do that at the moment, will try later in the week.

I started chat support via ATT Mobile and was subsequently told that DirecTV Stream support could call me- I asked about the chat feature and they told me that doesn't exist.

Got ahold of DirecTV support on Twitter, turns out they have no bundling discount with ATT Mobile because they are now separate entities.  That ends my search for a television streaming service as I'll likely give YouTube TV a try since they're much cheaper.

that chat is a virtual assistant, never connects to a live agent

I have switched to YouTube TV and it is so much better and cheaper.  The user interface is so much better too.

I got to live people both through the chat and on the phone.  Twice they assured me they had fixed it which turned out to be untrue.  In March, when the only thing they would tell me is sorry there are no discounts for your subscription (not seeming to care I had been a customer for 3 years) I cancelled and switched to YouTube TV.  I only wish I had sooner.  More channels.  Unlimited DVR included, better user interface, and $20+ cheaper each month.

@wdfowl78  I don't know where you get that YouTubeTV has more channels.  Yes, they are cheaper in price but you have way more options with Directv Stream and way more channel options.  If you would have had the Directv Stream Box to stream it would have been way more user-friendly than YouTubeTV as it is set up just like their Sat. Service it is just cheaper.  Plus another thing that I don't understand is if you are so Happy with YouTube why are you still coming back to the Directv Forum when you are no longer a customer? Plus with Directv Stream, you could have shared or even had 2 TVs outside of your home wifi network and you could stream on up to 20 Devices.  I know YouTubeTV doesn't do all that!

I only came back to comment because I got the email alerts that others had commented and was trying to help out.  And I guess it was since I had one of the original packages from 3+ years ago, but I did not have all streams you mention.  I was only allowed 2 at a time or I paid $5 extra for a 3rd.  And that was it regardless of how they were connected.  When I saw all the new packages had them I asked why my package wasn’t upgraded to those options like the other newer ones and their only answer was for me to transfer over to the newer, more expensive packages.   No thank you.
