I hate I got this service

I just activated my account on 10/6 .  I just got the remote controls on 10/9 and 10/10 . How about I got a notification on my tv saying that I will be suspended on tomorrow if I don't pay a bill . What makes this even more confusing is I got a notification via email saying bill wasn't due until 10/17 . Called customer service and they stated there was nothing they could do . This is ridiculous . Like I haven't had the service a week and I'm already getting suspended on tomorrow . I hate I got direct tv . This was not explained when the lady signed me up

Hi, @Bionca. We hear you loud and clear, and we’re so sorry for this frustrating start to your DIRECTV experience. Getting a suspension notice right after setting up your service is definitely not the welcome we wanted to give you—especially when it contradicts your initial email and what you were told over the phone.

To provide complete transparency on how the timeline works: when signing up for the service with a device, the first charge takes effect after 14 days from signing up or the day the service is activated on your TV—whichever comes first. Activating the service on your TV sets the official billing cycle immediately, which overrides any general estimated dates sent in the initial order emails.

Finalized statement balances and payment deadlines can be viewed by logging directly into your account online or via the app. Kenneth, DIRECTV Community Team
