Identifying an Error Code Meaning

I recieved an error code, [code: 8013], when attempting to sign in to the DIRECTV STREAM app on my Android device. Would somebody be able to provide information for the meaning of this code, or the place where I could find such info?

I keep getting the care code 601,  and it only started in the last 24 hours.   I closed out an old DirectTV Stream account for errors that occurred and that i was advised by the Direct TV Stream agent to close that account and reopen a new one to get ride of the error that they could not override, the change location settings...

Now with the new account it worked for 3 days, but now it says on ALL my Direct TV Stream boxes that I have paid for outright, 7 of them, and gives the code care code 601, called and the agent said it is a know outage in my area?  (Edited per community guidelines), how can there be an know outage when my Direct TV Stream is not in  an "area" like a landline or hard wired cable?  LIES?  anyway what is the real issue?

 I even tried making another account not associated with any former credentials, credit card, nor address...  So what gives?

by the way my other devices, Roku, tablet, and phone app work just fine, it is ONLY the direct TV boxes

yes please tell me what the reason for the interruption is...  my mother in law who lives with us is using the same boxes and is having NO trouble what so ever...  So i am bit more confused what the issues are...

these are DirectTV Stream codes that are showing up when it logs you out, and you try to log back in, it just rolls and rolls and rolls and then finally it says Cares Codes 601 and not explanation...

They are not from Direct TV, but from actual Direct TV Stream accounts and issues

This issue is currently under investigation by our technical teams. They recommend some troubleshoot like uninstall the app to fix the issue.

I am using  DIFFERENT credentials, but it is not from being a former customer for what ever reason, besides, Direct TV Stream cuts you off the minute you dont have a valid credit card go thru, so there is NEVER a balance that would be owed...

I've been getting the error code 8013 since mid-March. I've spent 8+ hours on the phone with DIRECTV stream with no resolution. We are 3 weeks with no service. 

We have had this service for a few years, so for it to just stop working has been very frustrating.

We know we used DIRECTV stream March 9 at home. My husband tried to sign in to the app March 15 (out of state) and that's when we discovered we couldn't stream DIRECTV...when we returned home, we found that our tvs that we use a Roku stick with were working fine...we had a power surge and then the tvs were logged out and haven't worked since then. 

however, I can log into a web browser, see what's on DIRECTV stream, but when I click on "watch now" the screen goes blue.  But I'm able to see the guide and what's showing, etc.

What device did you take with you and attempt to use on the trip? U might try uninstalling/reinstalling the apps---restart your cable modem then go into settings on your apps and reset home location.

Thank you. We've uninstalled and reinstalled the apps on the tv and devices (iPhone 13 and iPad)...but all of them continue to say we need to subscribe to DIRECTV stream. 

settings on the app? On the tv? I'm not sure how to reset the home location. 

i appreciate the suggestions...

I’ve also been getting the Code 8013 since mid-March. I was originally an ATT UVERSE customer and then became a Directv Stream one when that became the provider last year. 

I get the Code 8013 on my iPhone 11. My wife, who has an iPhone 12, signs in using same credentials and is able to watch without any problems. DTVS works on our Roku tv just fine. I’ve called/texted DTVS Customer Service no fewer than 6 times, and each time they “escalate” it or say they’re aware of the issue and suggest troubleshooting tips like uninstall/reinstall app, turn off phone, etc - nothing ever works.

Thanks bcbsncjlj for replying. Can you be more specific - what exactly is the "single sign on" option?

To answer your second question, yes -- I've done those steps (deleting app, signing out of "TV Provider" in Settings, restarting device, adding provider back on) multiple times, and nothing ever works. It's maddening, and Directv Stream's customer service has not been helpful.

Assuming the SSO is the one in Settings, yes -- I've been signed there and experienced the problem each time.

I was an ATT U-Verse subscriber up until last year when Directv Stream became ATT's TV provider, and then it automatically switched over from UV to DTVS. I had previously always been able to use the DTVS app on my iPhone 11 without problem, and then around mid-March I started getting the Code 8013 problem. I was using my xxxxx@att.net address as my sign-in, and one of the times I talked with customer service, they told me to sign in using a valid email address as my sign-in, so I started using my xxxxx@gmail.com address.
