Why Is The Sports Pak The One Add-On One Cannot Remove For Oneself On The Website?

Why does DTS choose to make it necessary to call customer service to get it removed?

That, however, does not explain why DTS does not choose to do this with all the OTHER add-ons.

Hi, @SativaGummi. We understand that you want to remove an Add-on channel. It's not necessary to call customer service to get it removed. Are you having trouble removing it on your end? Please go to https://www.directv.com/support/article/000093112 to manage your Add-ons.

I think you cannot know what I'm talking about, if you don't have the Sports Pak, so I have included a screenshot.  See how the AMC add-on has an "add" button, which would be a "remove" button, if I actually had AMC?  Now, look at the Sports Pak.  It has no such button.  All of the other add-ons are like the AMC add-on with a button.  Only Sports Pak does NOT have one.

Thanks for providing this information. Since you're on a promotion of Sports Pack for 6 months, at the end of the 6 months, the gift is automatically removed from the account. We hope that this helps. Justine, DIRECTV Community Specialist

My experience has been that DTS cannot be trusted to remove the add-on at the end of the promotion.  It cannot even be trusted to remove it, when you HAVE called in and specifically requested them to do so.  When I had the Sports Pak, in the past, when it was NOT a promotion, it ALSO did not have the "Remove" button.  They also didn't remove it, upon my request, and I had to call in a second time to get it removed, after being charged for a month after making that request.  I had to get the additional charge refunded.

This is why I am asking these questions.  I think the promotion is an intentional trap.  It SHOULD, but it won't just disappear at the end of the promotion.  DTS will simply start charging me for it, if I don't call in . . . and, very likely, EVEN IF I DO!
