403 error on Samsung TV…

Still unable to load DIRECTV STREAM on my Samsung TV. Was on with technical support for an hour. They said they would get back to me in an hour five days ago. Still waiting. I am able to log in, but I cannot get to the main screen. Wheel spins upon login, goes to the DIRECTV logo, then “403 - unable to login” pops up.

Not all Samsung TV models support the DirecTV Stream App. And, even for those that do support it, the App is junk. Lots of posts here from folks with issues with the Samsung App.  You'll be much happier with a true streaming device, like Roku, FireTV, or the DirecTV Stream box.

If tacticalff09 was able to download the Samsung App from his Samsung TV, his TV is supported.TV's that aren't supported won't even see the App in the App Store.

It sounds like the App is simply having a connection problem.

Uninstall the App and turn off your TV and then unplug your TV. Wait a minute and then plug it in and turn it on via your remote. Reinstall the App from your Apps page and try again.

Are you having any other problems with other Apps ?

@g_mingolelli the Samsung DirecTV Stream has more than just "connection problems", as witnessed by yours and numerous other posts here. That App is simply junk.

Thanks for the responses. Definitely not a sign in issue. An incorrect sign in gives an appropriate response. Agreed the is a Samsung vs the app issue. I’ve tried reloading, updating, unplugging, off/on. All of the things. Same result. Really odd. Seems like because it is somewhat isolated, they’re not very interested. I have a Fire Cube, I’d just rather not have to go through apps to get to apps, but hey. Gotta deal with what we’re dealt.

Thanks!
