C71KW-400 help for new Directv Streaming
We recently switched to AT&T 2Gig internet and DirecTV streaming. I purchased the C71KW-400 Gemini boxes 3rd party started setting up today only to run into an issue where it would not connect to our internet. We hard reset the boxes, both by unplugging and using the red button, and rebooted our router; each time it would find the network but not connect code 80002-004 (we kept the same network name and password for the past 10 years so that's not the issue) I eventually called DirecTV for some technical support only for them to say maybe the boxes are just out of date since they don't provide them anymore. Despite that, we were able to get 2 of the 3 to fully connect to our mobile hotspots (and I suspect it will work on the 3rd) but that's not a realistic option long term. Long story short we still are unable to get the boxes to connect to our 2G home internet network. The internet has been great though, all of our TVs and devices automatically connected without issue so we're also pretty sure it's not an issue with the router. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried connecting to the Ethernet port? Connect that b/c the device might need a firmware update....which will probably solve your wifi issue

Thanks for reaching out, @lclay023! If you haven't yet, please try these steps:
- Check Power & Range: Confirm your router is ON and the Gemini box is within range.
- Test the Spot: Try connecting a mobile phone to your Wi-Fi at the exact same location as the box.
- If your phone connects: Restart the Gemini box by pressing the red button on the side and try connecting again.
- If your phone fails to connect: You likely have a Wi-Fi dead zone. Please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) for help.
While we know you have options, please be cautious of potential risks with third-party Gemini devices, which could have wear and tear or functionality problems. Thank you all for your suggestions!! We just had a technician leave and fixed the router (apparently there was some settings in the router that needed updating/adjusting) I don't know what kind of wizardry he worked but he not only got our internet connection issues fixed but our Gemini boxes are connected and working as I had hoped!! It wasn't anything we could've done on our own, we had exhausted the rebooting/resetting options, and they didn't have to be connected via eternity to the router either. Thank you to the at&t manager that came out to get us together! And thanks to this DirecTV forum for giving us a jumping off point.
