Changing channels on roku app with voice remote?

I have directv stream app on a roku ultra. I can navigate the app and guide pretty easily but since the roku remote doesn't have a numerical key pad I end up having to scroll through the guide if I want to from a channel in the 300s down to a local like 19 or something like that. So here is the question :  is there even a way to use the voice remote to navigate between channels?  I don't know if this can be coded into the app or what but on my attempts to try and figure this out on the roku I tell it "channel 19" and it will respond with "no results from Directv Stream". If I say "ABC" the roku will try to leave the directv stream app and open ABC. I have even tried using the local station call letters (example WXYZ) and in my case it tries to open Spotify and find an obscure song.

Is there any chance this could be coded so the voice remote could navigate to a specific channel number? That would make this app fully functional in my opinion.
