Direct tv app will not install.
I had the app on my TV for a few months and then it just stopped working. So I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall and now I get an error message every time I try to install the app on my Samsung TV. It gives me an error code 118. I've tried to fix it by resetting the TV and the Smart hub and nothing works

Are you using WiFi or hardwiref? There are problems with WiFI do try Ethernet. Be prepared for other major issues with the app. 200's of post on the defective app. Do some searches. You honestly need an external streaming device.

Wifi, I can plug a wired connection into it though if you think that'll work

The error code represents a connection error to the server. Since you are using a Samsung Smart TV and there are so many known issues with the app I would try another device. Do you have one around test you could test?

The Samsung DirecTV Stream App is junk. For $30 you can solve the problem with a Roku or FireStick.
