direct TV stream box

I am new to direct TV, received the box for set up, and followed the instructions for set up, no lights on the front of the device, and no signal on TV can't proceed, called text support and talked with them and video call with them, can't figure out problem sent new device 2 days later, the same problem called tech support again and video chatted still the same problem. However I can stream Direct TV through a fire stick on that TV, meanwhile, they are sending another box. They have no support staff to come out to look at problems and only work online. Meanwhile, I am being charged for the box and not using it, and not being able to receive services associated with the box.

To me, it sounds like you are not getting power to the box check your outlet and the cord going into the box and make sure that everything is plugged in tight, or even try a different outlet.

Yah...I was going to say are you plugging it into a power outlet? lol If this happened twice then it is something with your setup. If you are using a power strip ---get a new one or plug it directly into the wall outlet.

Just a thought are you using the same power cord for the new box or are you using a different power cord?  Because if you are using the power cord that you received with your first box then maybe the issue is the cord itself.  Because when plugged in it should automatically have lights on the front of the box.

Did you turn the power button on the box? You don't need the TV to test power. Just take the box around to any electrical socket and plug-in to test for power.
