DirecTV stream app on Samsung smart TV
Yesterday I got DirecTV streaming service. I got the box for one of my TVs and was told that for the other TV I could download the app on that one (which is a Samsung smart TV, which I have and use several other apps on, like for Netflix, YouTube, etc.). However, when I go to the DirecTV stream app on that TV and try to log in, I keep getting the same error message: "We are having technical difficulties and you will be logged out. Please log in again." But I never even successfully logged-in in the first place. I tried several times yesterday and again several times today. My log-in and password are correct, since I used them for my other TV (the one with the actual DirecTV box). Is there a fix for this?

Well .....
The Samsung DirecTV Stream App is junk. While you might be able to resolve the logging-in issue, you won't be happy with the performance of that App. You'll be much happier with a $30 Roku or FireStick on that TV.

I have a Samsung tv and noticed today there is a Dtv Stream app update from Feb 24. It works a lot better than it used to and it actually has guide scroll thru like the Dtv stream box. I had no problems logging in and used it all day without issue. U can also now use the up arrow to change to recent channels like the other apps. It's not my primary app but I will use it for a backup to my Dtv stream box.

That's encouraging! Let's hope they've finally addressed the Samsung App issues.
