Directv Stream not loading on Toshiba FireTV
As soon as a put in my login credentials it proceeds to the Boot Screen of Directv Stream and just hangs. Tried everything including force stopping, clearing cache / data, reinstalling. I even tried pushing an older version of the app which gets a 500 error code and I am assuming it's blocked.

Are you sure you are installing the Dtv Stream app? There is also a Dtv app that is for satellite subscribers.

Yes. I just opened a case with support. I soon as I put in my credentials it just clocks right here. There is nothing I can do. They escalated to mgmt who has escalated internally somewhere else.

So I had an old Roku device that I plugged in for now and the app works fine on there. I will use that as a band-aid for now until the app get's patched. It could be a compatibility issue with the latest version of FireOS. Who knows. But why just my Toshiba FireTV? Is there anyone else here having issues with DirecTV Stream app on the latest version of Toshiba FireTV? If so post here so I can alteast know this isn't isolated to my device.

Is your tv connected to the internet via ethernet cable or wifi? I'd try both. Also, is your Fire TV Edition Smart TV edition 2nd generation or newer:

Yeah it's 2nd Gen or higher. I tried multiple WiFi bands and they are both excellent connections. The TV is literally 15 feet from the router on the floor about it. Not running ethernet to it though as it's not necessary. My wireless is more than fast enough (Fios 1Gigibyte) as I have had multiple streaming services working fine (YouTube TV, Hulu, FuboTV, etc) and have never had an issue. Not to mention the Roku that I just plugged in is on the same wireless and it works fine. Appreciate the response.

Having 1 Gbps FTTP does not necessarily mean that your Wi-Fi is fast enough. If you have tested it at the location where the device is, then that's fine, but your connection rate and your Wi-Fi rate are two different beasts.

Yeah for sure. Too many variables.

If you don't connect the ethernet to it and just try then you are not ruling out a potential problem.
