Directv Stream Remote Volume Button Not Functioning Properly

I set up the Directv Stream device, and programmed my remote to a Vizio TV. The mute button works appropriately, and does mute and unmutes the sound when pressed. The volume button acts like it is the fast forward or rewind button, and does just such. The actual fast forward and rewind buttons also do their purpose. I am not sure if this volume button is incorrectly wired or programmed. I tried to repair the remote several times, and used the various resetting options by pressing and holding the arrow buttons. I also tried to press and hold the home and exit buttons, and then click 981. Neither of these have helped to fix the issue with the volume button fast forwarding and rewinding programming versus actually controlling the volume.
